Human Decision-Making Paper Earns Wang Accolades

Zheng Joyce Wang, assistant professor at the School of Communication, co-authored the most cited article in the past five years (2006-2011) from Journal of Mathematical Psychology. The article is titled "Quantum Dynamics of Human Decision-Making" and appeared in Issue 3, 2006 of the journal. It pioneered research on quantum random walk models of decision making. It has been cited across disciplines, ranging from cognitive science, economics, engineering, to mathematics, physics, and astronomy.

Wang will also be the action editor of the Topics in Cognitive Science for a special issue on quantum probability models of cognition. Her research in this area is currently supported by the National Science Foundation.
